At Newark airport ready to fly around the world!
Well we have safely arrived in China! After 13 hours and 40 minutes of being in the air we have landed in China! The flight felt like weeks long. I'm glad that it is over.
Bruce started with a fever on Tues night and continued to feel feverish on Thurs morning when we headed to the airport. Thanks to all of you for praying - it seems to have gone away. Bruce gets very motion sick so he took Dramamine but we discovered that one dose is not enough for that long of a flight (even though it's supposed to work for 24hrs) and when we started descending he started to feel nauseous. He spent the rest of the afternoon and evening resting.
We are staying at the Beijing Hotel which is very nice. Last night we (the 2 other couples, Mrs. Li -our guide and me) walked around town and went to the famous Beijing Roast Duck dinner. The meal was interesting. I'll post pictures later. Walking around town was interesting. Us girls said we felt like we were on the boardwalk because there was a warm breeze blowing and there were shops along the section of wide road that we were walking on.
Today we head to the Great Wall and Olympic Stadium.
Finally, so close to your son!!! Have a wonderful couple of days taking in his homeland. SO thankful Bruce's fever is gone! Continuing to pray for your family. I think I may find myself stalking your blog for the next two weeks :).
